I'm sitting in Panera Bread, trying to stay connected to my world. I love the cabin and all of the wildlife and wilderness, but I have to admit, I miss the internet! I am borrowing Shayla's laptop for some quick e-mail and blog time while the kids are at Mutual.
We are starting to feel a little more civilized now that we have replaced the smelly old carpet. (Shane: "The new carpet is sooo soft and I LOVE the new carpet smell!") Dad has been slaving away fixing the high priority problems as quickly as he can--toilets first, then kitchen sink, then light fixtures that won't turn on. It has been a great adventure and we are settling in one box at a time.
We call the master bedroom the Bat Cave because every night when we turn out the lights, a bat or two emerges from the rafters to swoop around the room. Dad leaps out of bed and grabs a broom and smacks the poor bat out of the air and then beats it senseless. Then he flings it off the balcony.
I'll try to get some pictures on here so you can follow our home improvement progress. That is if I don't get kicked out of Panera for taking an hour and a half to eat a cup of soup!
May today there be peace within you. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born in faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let this presence settle into your bones and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us. St. Theresa’s Prayer
