Is it just me or are the years flying by? I can't believe my baby boy is turning 27 today! He's not the baby of the family--in fact he's the oldest, but it really does seem like it was just yesterday that he was crawling around the "chicken coop" playing with canning jar rings and his favorite toy: a metal Band-Aid box. Now he's married with two kids of his own! I know when you are a young mom and your days are filled with diapers and slobbers and a fair amount of random tears you wonder if they will ever grow up. Well, take it from me--they do-- and faster than you think. Every stage has its wonders and challenges but if you are blessed with amazing kids (and guess what? They are all amazing!) and you do the best you can and let the Lord make up the difference--then someday you will end up with a 27 year old. A 27 year old who makes your heart swell with love and pride (hopefully not unrighteous pride)
when you see him bless his sweet little daughter and
then bear his powerful testimony of the gospel

. That's what it's all about.
Happy Birthday Scott.
Happy Birthday Scott.
It's your Birthday, but I feel like
I'm the one that got the gift.
