Likening the Scriptures

Yesterday we had a house showing (yay!)

 But I only got two hours notice (boo!)  

But the house wasn't too bad since we had an open house last Saturday

 and did a thorough cleaning and some more packing for that (yay!)

But of course since we needed the house to sparkle,

the dog would feel the need to puke (boo!)

Normally, I banish the dog and clean up the mess--because

as the scripture tells us: 

"As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly."

Dogs find their barf irresistible (like a fool does his folly).

But I had so much to do and so little time,

I let Gunner clean up his own mess.

And he was happy to do so.
